We had a visitor. I wanted to know what kind it was so I sent these photos to the American Tortoise Rescue site: www.tortoise.com/

And they told me, "That is an extremely deformed redfoot tortoise - obviously someone's pet - I

would capture it if you can - it looks like it had no sun and poor food." She also told me that they always travel in a north west direction and they love pumpkin and cooked sweet potatoes and

strawberries/bananas. Leave out some water - a flat saucer like a flower

pot drip catcher bottom that will not tip.
