So, I've got a thing for Prairie Dogs. I watched a documentary on PBS about them a few years ago...and lost my heart. My traveling companion? Not so much. But he was kind enough to indulge me on my quest to get close enough for my 300mm to focus. They are such charming and AFFECTIONATE little creatures. They were hugging and kissing each other...and I believe I could have got quite close,but I didn't want to disturb them further.
