By quick glance my self portrait is pretty ridiculous. It probably looks like I just took pictures and put them together. But after much thought this is what I ended up with. For this project I have taken two sets of photos, the first ones being pretty bad and the second better. The background is from the first set and is my favorite picture out of both sets. The other two that have a low opacity are from the second set. Last year I ordered a pair of TOMS Shoes, they are my favorite and I love having that thought that I have helped a child in need by buying the TOMS. A leading cause of disease in developing countries is from the soil and it penatrates through feet and can make the person immobile. I love knowing that I can help because as a student, I cant do very much yet. But now it seems EVERYONE is getting TOMS. Not because what they stand for but because they're "cool". I hate it. So I have me with my hands up over the TOMS and then me with kind of a disgusted look on the left. I have used my most worn TOMS for this and the baseboard-less (just made a new word there) to make it seem more beat up. My reasoning was because so many are unprivileged and people are doing things to be cool rather than see the whole picture.
