Badgerline's influence makes itself known
20 of these Plaxton Pointer-bodied Dennis Darts were delivered to PMT in 1995 and became amongst a small number of red and yellow buses to carry Badgerline's post-rear axle motif. Others so treated included the L-LRF batch of similar vehicles, several Mercedes minibuses, a batch of Optare Metroriders... and a pair of second-hand Bristol VRs. Soon Firstbus, created by a merger of Badgerline and GRT, took over and the badgers disappeared. Not long after delivery, IDC955 (M955 XVT) is seen outside Burslem depot when nearly new, in the process of a driver change whilst operating short-lived route 23 from Trentham to Talke.
Burslem depot closed in 2002 and now no trace of it remains.
