It's now nearly two months since First Potteries' Newcastle depot closed, marking the end of an era... or it would have, had First not then announced a few weeks later that is would once again be basing a small number of buses in the town to tackle the reliability issues brought on by operating everything from Adderley Green via a somewhat complicated pattern of interworking.
Nevertheless, the appearance of this sign over the last few weeks would appear to suggest that the end is nigh for the Liverpool Road premises; a number of buses which were either awaiting scrap or long-term broken were stored inside following closure, but whether they remain is impossible to make out; however, the lights within the garage all seem to work correctly, having been left switched on ever since abandonment.
