Ford's entry to the World Rally Championship for 2011 in the newly debuted Fiesta RS WRC.
Complying to the new 1600cc Turbo formula, the new cars a lighter, less powerful, but smaller and more nimble.
The Fiesta RS WRC forms the basic car for a number of Ford Teams. The model shown here is the official Ford Factory Team, lead by Finnish drivers Mikko Hirvonen and Jari-Matti Latvalla. There are an additional five Ford based teams eligible for 'Manufacturers' Championship points.
Main competition in the Championship is the Citroen Factory Teams using the latest Citroen DS3 hatch.
This Fiesta has been built for Flickr LUGNuts 41st Build Challenge - 'Snowed In'.
The reason for the car? A debut 1-2-3-4 in the snow and ice packed Rally of Sweden, February 10-13. And, I don't like snow plows.
