Mai Tai - Mercury 1949 Sled
LUGNuts' founder Lino Martins has graciously given me permission to replicate his series of automotive illustrations based on various mixed alcoholic drinks.
The first in this series is a Lego -model replication of 'Mai Tai' - 1949 Mercury Sled.

In Lino's own words:
"In order to make your lockdown just a little more pleasant, my idea is to draw a series of vehicles named after a mixed drink and to provide the recipe for each. This first offering is a custom ‘49 Merc leadsled that emulates design cues from the tropical Mai Tai. As the drink is garnished with mint I gave the wide whitewalls a refreshing minty hue. This first image is here to show you what I am capable of. Now it is your turn to suggest a mixed drink in the comments. I may not pick all of them but if chosen, I will illustrate a vehicle to pair with your suggestion and include your name in the write-up. Remember always drink responsibly and never drink and drive."
