Work vehicles do work - often not glamorous. The T1 Transporter is a case in point. The car is not fast, or gorgeous. It does not chase criminals, nor fight fires.
It carries stuff.
It is interesting how much stuff has to get carried around - food, clothes, animals, car parts, plants, building supplies.
Lots of stuff.
Whereas in the US, where vehicles like the Ford F150 Pickup dominated the market, in Europe, the typical format was an enclosed van, in part for weather protection, in part for security.
The T1 Transporter was configured in both - the dual-cab utility/pickup is shown here.
