Ursus C-360 Tractor (1976 - 1992)
A Miniland-scale build of one of my absolute favourite builders - Karwik, from Poland - the Ursus C-360 is a canopy-roofed version of his beautiful minifig-scale tractors.
Ursus tractors have been manufactured in Poland for decades - the model shown here, the Ursus C-360, from 1976 to 1992.
One challenge presented during the Cold-war ear was a lack of trade with Western-block countries, though this manifest itself with ingenuity and thrift. The Ursus tractor here exhibiting both attributes.
Like all Karwik's work, his Ursus tractors shown a wonderful period palette, along with a focus on fine details, many of which I was able to incorporate into this larger miniland model. Karwik also uses 'stickers' in a subtle and effective way. Now that I have worked out how to get povray to include such custom stickers, I can attempt to replicate the style.
Previously in LUGNuts there was a challenge titled 'I Wanna be Like You' - this is my 2nd Karwik model after a replication of one of his Zubr truck a number of months ago.
