Ducati Monster 695 (2007)

Ducati has been a maker of low-volume performance motorcycles for nearly 90 years, based in the Italian city of Bologna.

The Monster, first introduced in 1993, marked a change in the evolution of performance motorcycles, with what became known as a 'naked bike'. The Monster line did not include all the fairing and aerodynamic devices that had become common on motorcycles over time.

Ducati had always produced Monster-series bikes with varying engine capacities and power outputs, ranging from 400cc (42 hp), through to the 2014 1200S, 1200cc (145 hp). All the engines are 90-degree Vee-Twins, also known as L-Twins.

The model featured here is the 2007 695 Monster (700cc). This model was subsequently replaced a year later with the very high-specific-output 696 Monster.

This Ducati Monster Lego model has been created for Flickr LUGNuts 76th Build Challenge - 'Viva Italia' - featuring Lego builds of all things automotive and Italian.
