Bailey to vet tomorrow. (#5333)
Bailey is going to the Vet Tomorrow @ 1030 for vaccinations and his annual examination.
I'm hoping the vet has some other suggestions for his indoor spraying and other litter box issues.
I think Bailey has been depressed since loosing his brother Jake. They were inseparable for the past 13 years,
! more in comments.
UPDATE:
Bailey had his exam, vaccinations and some blood tests. The vet will call me with the results later.
We will continue the clomicalm but instead of 1/4 pill 2 times a day we wii try 1/2 pill at night.
We will change his kd dry food to Calm www.nationalpetpharmacy.com/product/51833/Royal-Canin-Vet... dry food. It has trytophan in it among other calming agents.
As others have suggested I DO give Bailey a lot of alone time with me.
I sleep with him every night when I am not working overnights and he purrs and purrs...
The vet said to try the clomicalm at night and try the diet change.
If this doesn't help he may change medications.
I hope this Calm food won't be given to the detriment of his kidneys as he was on KD food before and is on the Fortakor.
We are all distressed at the moment...
Vet just called. All Bailey's blood values were "good."
Kidney function improved from last year but still a bit elevated. Not enough to change from the Calm diet back to KD.
