Overarched

I enjoy the process of creating two dimensional projections of the world around me which often leads to juxtapositions of graphic forms in a flat representation with no obvious perspective effects. I had been scouting out this crane covered in scaffolding and nets to find it in open shade with no obvious shadows. I couldn't really find a trigger for the photograph until a train approached and I noticed how the shape of its front echoed the shape of the crane and I had my trigger served on a plate. Then followed a few anxious moments trying to time the capture to place the two shapes in a meaningful relationship to each other.
