Ninety Six.

Inspiration strikes in the strangest places.

For most of my life, I've been wholly unable to concentrate with any sort of noise or distraction around me. I'm not one of those people who could do my homework/reading/writing with the tv on or music playing. Studying in libraries was difficult because of the activity around me. I always got my best work done when I was closed up, alone, in complete silence.

Since I've started working on this book, I've found the exact opposite to be true. For the past four days, I've gotten my best writing done in busy coffee shops, full of people, with my earbuds in and music blaring. It's been a strange change in method for me, but I'm really loving it. I passed the fifty page mark today and I'm feeling pretty damn good about that. I've never stuck with a novel concept for this long before. Here's hoping my momentum keeps me plowing forward towards the finish line.
