Stonehenge Slaughter Stone

The "Slaughter Stone" in the foreground - it is speculated that this stone was not actually used for sacrifices, but the reddened areas are from iron oxide deposits in the stone.

Love the slaughter stone because of the oh-so-dramatic ending of Thomas Hardy's "Tess of the D'Urbervilles"
