Rugged Juniper

This lone juniper stands tall against the harsh winds that come with living on a ridge overlooking the Delaware River. In the fall, when night time air temperatures start to dip, the valley fills with fog since the river is warmer than the air. It creates this 'sea of fog' that slowly lifts as air temperatures rise.
