Amegilla (Zonamegilla) sp. m
While awake the Amegilla bees are 2fast4U (and for me 2!). Only while still asleep in the early mornings they could be approached closely. All bees (four species) I found roosting in this way were using dry stems of the same plant. These were very thin, but wiry, strong and smooth. Ants and other night-crawling predators apparently did not venture to climb them. There were neither seeds, leaves nor flowers to this plant, so I am ignorant about its name or even family.
