'Peaches' by Claire Hildebrand
I put up this photograph of a painting in the vain hope that someone can help me fill out the biography of the artist. Her name was Claire Hildebrand, she died in 1898 in France and she painted this in either 1889 or 1839, the date is a bit worn. After putting in 14 months work, Gabe Gatti loving restored this painting that was actually in pretty bad repair. Gabe is the driving force of Gatti Fine Art Services in West Chester, Pennsylvania. I have been able to locate one other painting by Claire Hildebrand: The Still Life (1880). For want of a better name, I call this painting 'Peaches'. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
