Master bedroom before

I am going to be redoing my bedroom soon. I am not sure what color scheme I want. I would like it to be more contemporary, however I have this oak bedroom set that looks country to me. The pink carpet is going to be replaced with neutral carpet soon. Any ideas are welcome.
