Zeiss Ikon Signal Nettar Topcover Removed (18)

Zeiss Ikon Signal Nettar 518/16.

This is the way the Winderknob resets the DEP (Double Exposure Prevention) mechanism.

The top image shows that when you turn the Winderknob (cw) one of the teeth on its DEP-discs moves the DEP-bar to the left. A strip from the side of the DEP-bar goes underneath a metal sheet (see green arrow).

The image in the middle shows the DEP-bar on about its max. traverse. The DEP-bar is raised a bit and the DEP-disc has no hold on it anymore.

The DEP-bar is pulled back by a spring but because it's a bit raised its strip no longer goes underneath the other metal sheet but instead goes over it (see green arrow).

The bottom image shows the fully reset state of the DEP-mechanism. The DEP-bar is raised even more because of the shape of the other metal sheet. The teeth of the DEP-disc now have room enough to go underneath the DEP-bar (see red arrow).
