Next layer is a simple tube of green knit fabric. Here I've just shoved the excess down between the pillows. But when I wear it, I put the tube on first, with half of its length bunched up under my armpits. Then after the corset is in place I fold the tube down to cover the corset. That way the same piece serves as both shift and corset cover.
When I wear it, it's also less rumply. See, the corset laces around the pillows a little tighter than around me. So since I'm a bit bigger, those rumples get stretched out smooth.
