Martin-Baker's wonderful Gloster Meteor T.7(Mod) Test-bed pair resplendent in the static display at Yeovilton's 2017 Air Day

 

First flown in WWII, the Meteor was our first jet fighter and this pair of half a century old vintage 'Meatboxes' are based at Chalgrove in Oxfordshire.

 

Used for live-firing development work by MB on their range of Military Ejector Seats, 'Dayglo' encrusted WL419, aka G-JSMA and black with a gold stripe WA638, aka G-JWMA, have their rear cockpits modified to carry the 'test cell' with the black and white photographic calibration marks painted below
