Dot spotting today reveals one of the United States Navy's fleet of Boeing C-40A Clippers - BuAerNo.165831 with call-sign 'Convoy 4722', trailing nicely at thirty seven thousand feet above Sussex as she makes her way South towards Mainland Europe
Based on Boeing's highly successful 737 airliner series, this 'military' version of their executive BBJ equips various Fleet Support Squadrons and sports a basic airliner style colour scheme with black and brown cheatlines, no 'star and bar' and with the last 3 of the serial on the nose along with the last four simply displayed on the fin - thus remaining relatively inconspicuous when operating around the globe.
