Memorial salute

'Element Three' of The Queen's Birthday Flypast comprised Rolls-Royce Merlin powered BBMF machines, notably Avro Lancaster PA474/KC:A flanked by two D-Day Invasion striped Supermarine Spitfires - MK356/5J:K and clipped wing variant TE311/4D:V

 

The latter pair have to have special dispensation to fly this route as no single engined aeroplanes or helicopters are allowed over London now!
