Patio Guest

This Marbled Orb Web Weaver took up residence in the awning over our patio for a few days. These spiders make spectacular webs as seen in other pictures I have posted and another one below. When he moved in the other common spiders who had been in residence quickly departed the area. I never saw him capture any food so I guess he moved on in search of better hunting grounds. Or he just got tired of having a camera poked in his face every time he came out.
