Area closure notice is now in effect for the area from Windy Lake, and south beyond Overlord, on both the east and west sides of Akshayuk Pass in Auyuittuq National Park.
The moraine that blocks Crater Lake from spilling into the pass is severely eroded and is threatening to create a flash flood into the pass. "
