The parish church of Saint -Pardoux dates from the12th century and was rebuilt. She was a former Benedictine priory of the abbey of Baignes. At the end of the fourteenth century, a Gothic funerary chapel was added to the south of the nave. During the second half of the nineteenth century, the church was restored significantly including the reconstruction of the nave vault brick and expansion of the sacristy. The building is listed as a historic monument in 1954.
In 2012-2013, the church was restored by the Companions of Duty.
The church has a characteristic map of the Charente Romanesque churches, with a single nave, a span in steeple covered with a dome and a semicircular apse. Added funerary chapel in the Gothic period on the south wall of the nave form a false transept arm.
The design of the building dates mainly from the Roman era . It is the confluence between styles angoumoisins et saintongeais. The façade is inspired by the construction of the cathedral of Angouleme, with two levels of arcades , the arches and ornate capitals. The apse is semicircular saintongeais inspired style with a set of semicircular arches and buttresses vertical columns . One of the capitals of the façade expresses the sin of lust, evoking the scene as hell and scaring sinners.
