Painted canyon slopes in the Temblors
Here I think the blue flowers at lower right are Phacelia tanacetifolia, Tanseyleaf or fernleaf phacelia. We've moved a bit further east on the Crocker Spg road, and the BG slope is also in a previous photo. And this is another photo that (imo) merits some study.
As before, we are seeing microclimate effects of these small shrubs -- foreground shrubs are mostly Ephedra californica; adding Sagebrush in the mid and background.
The pink-violet flowers may be Fremont's phacelia, Phacelia fremontii. Yellow flowers are likely hillside daisies, perhaps with Coreopsis daisies. Carrizo Plain NM
