With a restored Clinchfield F3 and SD45 on the docket, this old U23B certainly didn't have top billing for the Heritage Railroads farewell, but it certainly stole the show. When heavy snow started to fall the night before, we knew we were in for a very special day. On the first trip of the morning, the former L&N U23B rips along kicking up fresh powder. The thought of shooting a U23B in fresh snow in Tennessee had never entered my mind so this was an awesome experience. What a great send off to this neat operation. Thanks to the great group that made this all happen!
