Lots to look at in this picture... in only 3 months the iconic "Superwood" plant in the back would be forever idled, the iconic smell never to waft over Duluth again. Although at the time I was incredulous that such a high profile and high dollar move was tasked to a pair of beaten and worn SD40's, now I'm glad it was! Traffic is backed up far down Railroad Street and won't clear for some time, as this massive load was moving at a snails pace. Although Port Terminal is a great place for unloading cargo, the route out presents a very sharp curve. If only there was a bridge that went right across the bay to Superior...
