Island Eating Area

This is a nine foot granite (Golden Beaches) island with dishwasher and sink. Underneath it is supported with a 3/4 inch single sheet of plywood (from a ping pong table maker, since most lumberyard pieces of plywood are too small). There are also three 1/2 inch iron support beams routed into the plywood to support the granite.
