Temporary Tram terminus
One of the reasons for choosing a hotel at Causeway Bay, Hong Kong Island, was the ready availability of a fast, frequent and cheap tram service to and from central Hong Kong and the ferry terminals. However, I did not reckon with the "Umbrella Revolution" which was staging a sit in at various places, one of which was at the city end of Causeway bay which completely blocked access for the trams, causing them to turn short just outside of my hotel, with a shuttle service towards Western Market resuming on the other side of the protest.
