The Perfect Ending to Our Honeymoon

Artist Statement

 

The reason why I have chosen this vegetable and this background is that no one would think of having an eggplant as their vegetable; it’s original. Also, I love images of the sun setting and I found this photo by accident. I thought it would blend well. The process that I took to create this photo is by first using the Magnetic Lasso tool to cut of the vegetable. Furthermore, I move both the eggplant and banana from their original photo to the sun set photo. After completing that task, I used the Free Transform tool, so that both the eggplant and banana would look smaller and would fit into the photo. Also, I changed the levels of the eggplant so that it would appear a bit darker. As well, I needed chairs in facing the sun set where the eggplant and banana would sit in. Finally, I smudged the outline of the photo so that it would appear as if the person is dreaming .This photo represents someone dreaming of their honeymoon. It ironic, that a human being dreams about two vegetables on their last day of their honeymoon rather then him/herself. I have used personification by giving the vegetables human characteristics. In my eyes, I feel that the photo that I have made represents exact idea that I had in mind.
