Ipil wood carcase, except the top and sides’ center panels in narra wood, buffet tables and altar tables 5 feet or longer – some have up to 7 drawers – came out in the 2nd quarter of the 19th century but disappeared almost completely by the turn of the century; this table has similar form and inlay decorations, combining both traditional with non-traditional motifs in bone and kamagong wood, thus also possesses colonial charm and presence akin to older grandiose pieces
