Peak-hour RT
London Country's RT3119 stands at The Square, Dunstable, with a peak-hour extension of route 360 (Luton-Caddington-Luton) in June 1972.
RTs would ply this route for another four years or so, until converted to Leyland Nationals in September 1976. United Counties took over the route from the December. Note too, the route number for the 343 painted on the tarmac beside the RT.
Baxters closed some years ago, the shop later being occupied by Cancer Research and is now a hair salon.
Scanned from a Kodachrome slide taken by the late John Hambley, now in my collection.
