Harton Low Staithes
Bo-Bo electric locomotive 15 (English Electric/Baguley 2600/3520 of 1959) is ready to return to St Hilda sidings at South Shields with empty wagons in September 1981. 15 survived to the end of operations on the NCB Harton system in July 1989 and was stored along with the rest of the fleet until sold to Booth-Roe at Rotherham as a job lot later in the year. It was the last to be scrapped in February 1990. The electric locomotives here dated either from 1908-13 or 1952-59. Four of the former and none of the latter reached preservation.
