Public Free Library

This interesting looking building stands on London Road, Stoke-on-Trent. Opened in November 1878, it was designed by Charles Lynam (1829-1921) and built by John Gallimore for a cost of £2,850. It appears to have been decorated in an early Arts and Crafts style.I have a feeling however, that the library, listed in 1991, has now closed.

Pentax K-x/SMC 28mm (42mm on this format).
