Window or mirror?

The Empire Antiques building at Paddington, Brisbane is the old Empire Cinema converted into little units displaying and selling a huge variety of antiques. As such it has a lot of internal walls to separate the units.

 

I thought this rather lavish mirror was rather a mystery, reflecting as it does one of the little alley ways spread throughout the complex.
