1996 Lincoln Town Car 1:43 Diecast by IXO/Premium X

As soon as Premium X/Ixo announced that they will make the 1996 Town Car, I waited for almost 1 year an a half til it became available. Before it was released, I also found out it would be Diecast so it was even better and affordable unlike it's other resin versions which reach top dollar, like the inaccurate 1997 one by GLM which looks like it's been carved from a soap.

This is one of my favourite generation of Town Cars, specifically this facelift model from the 1995-1997 - the refreshed version of the 1990-1994 models which has a softer looking grille and a thiner headlights and some other minor differences. Many considered that this facelift generation of Town Car was one of the best as it was very refined and not cheaped out and also due to it's styling.

As for the model, it is very accurate, unlike some of its resin versions from other companies. I'm not so sure about the stance as it is standing a little high in my opinion. Every detail is in the model as well, such as the tiny little badges and the hood ornaments, the chrome is fantastic, although in some areas, the chrome looks weak, and looks as it will peel-off. The stubs on the headlights ruins it and the wheels is not bad, though the tires doesn't look good because of the size of the thread that looks like it's winter tires or something or an off-road tires, could have been better with a thin whitewalls in my opinion. The interior on the other hand is fantastic, considering it's size, most of the details are there and painted to match the actual car's interior. I also love the tiny details such as the license plates. These are currently avaiable, though on a bit on the expensive side but not that expensive compared to the other resin models.
