Gift Of A Savior Nativity Scene.
My wife and I attended The Wonder Of The Nativity display at Chestnut Street United Methodist Church. They had approximately 30 nativity scenes on display. The one pictured was titled Gift of a Saviour and the program states the following regarding this nativity. "Each year college suite mates from the class of '65 gather for 5 days in North or South Carolina for a reunion. Annually, small gifts are given among the friends. This year, the suitemate who is known as "Mother" made a nativity for each friend. She had gathered all the materials from Edisto Beach where she lives. The manger is from a piece of driftwood, baby Jesus is a baby shell, and Mary and Joseph are larger shells."
