After receiving their bulk peas, wheat and cooking oil at a CRS food distribution in East Hararghe, Ethiopia, beneficiary Kado Umar (in green at right) and two other beneficiaries will divide up the amount equally among them before they head home. The food is distributed as part of CRS' (a Caritas member in the USA). Productive Safety Net Program, which seeks to help those with food gaps to make it through the lean months each year and save enough money to build their household assets, eventually graduating from the program. ..
