how the little fella ended up with a sore front right paw unfortunately ... probably stepped wrong in a hole in the back country dirt road ... he barely gave any indication that anything was up on the 2 hr ride, it was only after we got back and he'd rested a little before he started lifting it and limping a little. I let him rest a day or 2 and it seemed to be fine, then a week later he got out of bed hopping around, didn't want to put any pressure on it ... okay off to the vet who struggled to get any kind of pain reaction while manipulating his toes, but the best guess was his first toe had probably sustained some kind of soft-tissue injury ... 1 weeks bed rest and some anti-inflammatories ... his last tablet tonight, so see how he goes over the next few days.
the scenery was pretty, we saw plenty of sheep, a baby lamb, some Angus cows, a few horses, a yard full of old rusted cars, a rose farm and a vineyard, among other things :-)
