Sandhill Crane Wading - Grus Canadensis pratensis!
Today I was surprised to find one of my Sandhill Crane couples at the Expressway park. I usually don't get to see them wading in the water, so it was a delight. I'm honestly not sure if it was Classic and Cherry, or Zero and Dasani. If it was Classic and Cherry, then that means they aren't nesting, which would throw off my assumption that by next weekend, there will be a new chick or two. We'll see, and you'll see, in my stream!
