1989 Jaguar Sovereign
For the 90 model year the 2.9 and 3.6 went and the 3.2 and 4.0 arrived along with the new analogue dash, hence the reason you find G reg cars in all four engine options, If you wanted a V12 the Series III was still on the books untill it was finally dropped in 1992. This Oct 89 registration is the new model 4.0 in high spec Sovereign trim, the one to have most people would agree.
I have to pinch myself sometimes and remind myself that these XJ40s are geting old now, even the youngest ones are fast approaching twenty years old.
This one's a low mileage peach, once owned and run for a while by a dealer friend, it's got a lady driver now, it's in very nice condition throughout.
I've just noticed it has a piece of chrome missing from the bootlid for some reason. Later X300 "roulette" rims make a nice upgrade.
