The Potteries Connection
The "Potteries Connection" Rally & Running Day took place on 1 August. The title for the event is derived from the legend carried by PMT single deck buses during the privatised (red & yellow) era. Two preserved PMT buses carry "The Potteries Connection" legend on their cove panels, and by sheer coincidence ended up together outside Stoke-on-Trent Railway Station.
Privately owned Optare Delta 801 (H801GRE) stands with POPS' Mercedes 608D MMM120 (C120VBF). Both the Delta and Mercedes carried good loadings throughout the day.
