Wet Sand, Sky and Castle
A falling morning tide at Embleton Bay, with Dunstanburgh Castle, Northumberland. This really is one of the top UK photographic locations in my opinion...but don't tell anyone, it's so quiet! ;o)
Nikon FM2n + 24/2.8 Nikkor, Fujichrome Sensia.
Opening the plastic Fuji mount, to copy this, I managed to tear the transparency about a third-way through! Argh! Lightroom "spot-removal" did a great job repairing it, even knowing where it was, I can't see it, even pixel-peeping. However, I'll never be able to project the slide again. :-( What makes it worse, is that just last year, in my clearing out "unnecessary" doubling up, I threw out 2 almost identical to this one!
I must have opened thousands of these Fuji mounts over the years, to remount them for shows and exhibitions, and it never happened before, several with the stringy red mounting glue getting onto the picture, but never a tear. (The glue can be removed with careful use of lighter fluid on a cotton-bud)
