Surface tension

Broad leaved pondweed, (Potamogeton natans). Such a prosaic name for what is such a lovely fresh water plant. Here after the rain. The pattern, with an almost rosette of the bronzed, shiny leaves, plus the raindrops, all attracted me.

Borrowdale, from the boardwalk around the southern edge of Derwentwater. (The plant was in a stream in the boggy area inland)
