The Ancient St. Sofia Church - Sofia, Bulgaria

The first church on this place was built soon after the adoption of Christianity in the Roman Empire. Being one of the earliest Christan temples in Europe, during the late Middle Ages it gave its name to the city of Sofia, the present day capital of Bulgaria.
