Not All Gifts Are Created Equal on the Death Star
As expected, Stormtrooper Bruce knew Vader's 'gift' of a week off, to recuperate from his monthlong Trooper Sitting duty of Palpatine's nephew, would be followed by a nightmare week once he returned back to his duties. But, STB doesn't have time to worry about that, now. While he was away, the plant that the P's nephew gave him has become a different kind of nightmare.
STB: Guys, thanks for coming early! Don't worry, we'll have a normal Movie Night once I can get rid of this plant. I'm donating it to the P's Botanical Gardens, where it can get proper care. They're coming for it first of next week.
TK-432: What happened to it!?!?!
TK-1110: Great Galaxy! It's ... humongous! Last week it was big, but now it's ... it's ... And what's that twitching tentacle snake thingy?
TK-432: So technically, you're regifting the kids gift? Isn't that a bit dangerous?
STB: Technically, I'm paying it forward. I want to ... um ... share it with everyone. And no idea what that twitching tentacle snake thingy is.
TK-432: If you say so, but why did we have to get here early?
STB: To help me rearrange my quarters. No way we can watch movies with that thing blocking the t.v. I'm putting Audrey in the corner until it's gone.
TK-1110: So, technically, we're having to work for our dinner?
TK-432: Looks that way. So let's just get to work so we can get Movie Night started. Then you can tell us all about your nightmare week. We knew Vader had something awful planned for you. He's infamous for his "I'll give you this, but you'll pay for it" ploys.
STB: Aww, give Vader a break. He's a nasty widdle Sith Lord. He can't help that he's evil and twisted. Besides, after all the times we've messed with him, I knew there would eventually be some kind of payback.
TK-1110: Maybe so, but can you explain why the kid gave you this hideous alien plant thingy that dances to music?
STB: That's one of life's sweet mysteries. And watch out, it's twitching again! So, let's get to work to try and save this Movie Night. We deserve a night of fun, food, flicks and maybe figuring out more ways to mess with Vader!
