Sunshine on my shoulder
It was a very cold afternoon, the day after our first winter storm of the season had blown through. The birds were out in force, cold and hungry, and finding all kinds of treats at the various feeders in our yard.
Although the sun was shining it didn't warm things up much as you can see there is still some ice next to where this Tufted Titmouse was perching. I'm sure he was grateful for the sunshine but at the moment he was more appreciative of the seedcake he as preparing to land on!
