Female Black-tailed Skimmer Dragonfly ( Orthetrum cancellatum ) oviposting ( placing eggs into the water ).

 

Filmed using two cameras on a rig. Frame rate is 120 fps. Merged left and right clips slowed down to 30 fps ( 4 times slow motion ). Effective distance between lenses is 40mm and distance to subject ( dragonfly ) is about 2.5 meters.

 

Sound - Sedge Warbler ( Acrocephalus schoenobaenus ) calling sounds.
